Just have to ask. It's stunning.

I just have to ask if anyone has played it. I don't get to Austin that often.

Yes. It is stunning in every way. Just as you would expect from Tom. Wonderful tone and playability, right up the neck. Only had 10 minutes, but also do not begin to have the money.

Cap'n, the next time you're headed northerly on Mopac, give me a shout. I'm up in Hyde Park on Avenue H, over by Julio's/Fresh+, etc.

    You're practically a neighbor. I'm in Brentwood near Burnet/Koenig.

I used to live at 41st and Ave C. Now south about 2 miles from Tom Ellis.

I may have to go over to Fiddlers tomorrow and see if it is still there. Regardless, always something nice to try out.

I played it today. As usual, a very nice instrument straight out of the box, but needs some playing. I was picking it when someone came in with Tom to go over it and A/B Tom's personal instrument. Now THAT one is fantastic.

That being said, the steal in the shop right now is the Passernig A model. Stunning is putting it lightly. A really fantastic instrument.
