    hi,dont know what happened to the first post he must of deleted it lol.anyway's im a beginner so not the best person to ask, but i think it as a very sweet tone ..aj

    Hey, sorry I deleted it. I was trying to quote and hit delete! Oh well. But PB is right. It sounds amazing.

    hi,very sweet looking,but i would say that lol..whats the finish on ur back/sides like? mine as a odd appearances that the store said was standard..you get a strange reflection off the small dark grain marks..aj

    Here is a shot of the back of a new Eastman. Nice figureing, and nothing looks weird on this one. The neck also has a lot of quilting...
    It has a loud sharp voice as you would expect from an F-5.
    I'm lovin it!

    hi,i best be clear iam new to the mandolin..so it might not be a odd finish,just a normal one..the store's expression was checking or channelin i forget..
    its uniform across the back and side,which makes me feel its standard and just the effect of the small dark grain through the laquer...iam very happy with mine as well..aj
