Default Gibson Mono-Steel strings set G161

Went into my local music store today to see if he had any kind of steel or stainless mandolin string that my Dearstone likes. He had one set off Gibson set 161 with black package like I bought 25 years ago. No stated endorsement just Gibson logo on front. I asked the owner where he got them he said he didn't know he thought they were old. Am I wrong or didn't these become the Sam Bush strings, with new set no.many years ago?

Same thing.. Mona~Steel is as old, or older than Sam (or I am) ..

Core wire may have Oxidized in all the time they sat , Monel wont rust.
