    Default In Praise of Passernig

Every time I play the latest Stefan Passernig at Fiddler's Green in Austin, I am always amazed at the excellent tone of his instruments.

The mando was one of the best of the bunch, tonally speaking, and his Mandola was to die for. Best dola I've played so far.

Amazing instruments by an amazing builder.

I posted a some pics and a short video of #49 in the "Videos, Pictures & Sound Files" part of the board. Great mandolin and Stefan has been very helpful even though I got this one used.

I played that A-style at Fiddlers Green a couple of months ago, best sounding mandolin in the store. Adi top, but had that sweet richness and responsiveness of Engelmann, with tons of volume. Yum.
