Default First Mandolin Purchase: a follow up post.

Thanks to everyone for their encouragement and advice. While I was leaning towards the Kentucky KM 505, I finally settled on the Loar LM 400. I ordered it today, and am really looking forward to getting my hands on it and start learning. I have already started reviewing some of the videos and other resources recommended to me on the Forum, and I have learned a lot. What I have really learned is how much I don't know, but am excited about the lessons and the journey ahead.

Enjoy the journey! The resources here are amazing. Trying to build a solid foundation of skills will take you a long way. Especially the pickin' hand. Have fun!

Sounds sweet. I would love to have a Loar but they are beyond my reach.
