Man, I wish I could figure out some harmony lines like that. I understand the concept, but actually doing it....

+1. To me, that (the harmony) sounds like what the Allman Brothers would sound like on mandolins.

Going in, I expected to like the newer one better. I liked the bass on the older one more. May have been due to the stylistic way he played it, however.

I've played the 1984 retopped Duff when it used to be at Dusty Strings several years ago(Unless it is another very early retopped Duff). I was not very impressed, but Tyler sure knows how to make it sing.

I met Tyler Andal at the Montana Old Time Fiddlers Camp a couple of years ago where he was a fiddle instructor. That young man is a fine fiddler and can beat the tar out of a banjo, guitar or mandolin. He is very impressive.

Anyone know the name of this tune?? Marc is one of my favorite pickers, and a really nice guy, as well.

The video is great, but it not very fair.

Those two guys would shred that fast on a $35 cigar box mandolin just as well, and I didn't see anyone picking that good at Loarfest last weekend!

Is that a transparent acoustic guitar hanging on the wall in between them?
I haven't seen one of those.

It used to be Mason William's guitar.

Mark and Tyler are incredible pickers.
I've met and picked with Tyler. Super nice fella and incredibly talented on just about any string instrument.

I could gladly take either home, but then I’d have to realize I would sound just like me.
