Irish Barndances/Germans?

I have an Altan album titled Ceol Aduaidh, which I think is their first or one of their first. Anyway, they are an Irish trad group and it's Irish trad music. However, some of it really sounds like it might fit in an old-time group, specifically the last in the set of track 9 which is titled simply "Germans." The title of the tune is If There Weren't Any Women in the World. I really think that would fit right in with old-time. Does anybody play this tune in their old-time jam?
