    Smile A classic introduction

Hello good people of the mandolin world!

Just thought I'd introduce myself briefly. My name is Alex Heino, I'm from Sweden and am currently in my second year of jazz-studies in London, UK. Primary instrument is percussion and drumset(although that should be covered under percussion..) and have now decided to take the leap onto the mandolin to begin playing swedish-folk, various kinds of jazz with, and also an instrument to transfer all my theory knowledge to.
So far it's been a week and I'm loving it!

Thank you so much for all you do to provide useful information about all things mando, and the great mandolin community that is growing here.
    Take care of yourselves!

    Cheers.

My good friend Bert Deivert is a top blues mandolin musician who has been based in Sweden for more than forty years. He tells me there are many fine folk musicians playing mandolin in Sweden.
