Default Sheet Music for Classic Rock

I tried to search on this website and was not able to find any information on good sheet classic rock music for the mandolin. I saw some books from Hal Leonard and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

    Thanks

The Rock Real Book is a lead sheet, and would work for mandolin as long as you read music, not tab.

Most rock players do it all by ear. Books like the real book are great to get the basic chords but you need to get the fine points by ear.

There are various books of off-the-recording transcriptions often in TAB for guitar, but working rock players rarely have charts at all.

When I work in straight rock bands, which I did a lot more in the 70's and 80's, it was all by ear, maybe I had a cheat sheet on the set list with a chord change for a really unfamiliar tune, but not in staff notation!

These books though are good for other uses. But if you want to learn whatever rock song by ear, that's really the way it is done.
