I saw them live a couple of years ago. Fred plays any instrument, with strings or without and all well.

The MC got their first names switched. Paul laughed and said it was ok his name was always getting garlbed. He had a teacher in school who knew him as Paul Bearer.

I was a HUGE Little Feat fan years ago. Got into them right after Lowell George died (1979), and was thrilled when they started playing again with Craig Fuller (1989). Probably saw them at least a dozen times over the years. Keyboardist Bill Payne has always been one of my all-time favorite musicians.

But as is true with a lot of aging bands, each show becomes a little less magical than the one before -- but the true bright spot these days is Tackett. (And these duo sets, brilliant.)
