Mentions the maker, but no info.
Thanks.
It looks like a middle to higher end mandolin by a decent maker. It will need a fair amount of work to make it playable or to fully restore it. Most bowlbacks with fluted bowls are the fancier and more expensive ones. It takes more work to make those flutes on the bowl and to do them well. It also will make it more difficult to repair.
In its current condition it would not be worth a lot of money. There were quite a few luthiers in Napoli back then and I would guess Salvadori was a decent one but not one of the most desirable.
I have photos of five other examples of Salvadori mandolins in my files. What else do you need to know?

Jim, thank you for info. The mandolin has very nice sound. I think it is worth to be repaired. Now I just have to find someone who repairs such instruments.
