Default Breedlove Cossover & Travelite Case

    Helo All,
I just bought a Breedlove Crossover from Musician's Friend for 299.00. They said they only had 10 left a week ago, so I panicked and got one (guess he had me).

Now I need a case. I really like my travelite case. Does anyone know for certain if the Breedlove will fit in the travelite case?

My Kentucky 350 fits perfectly and so does the Km272.

    Anyone?

    chris

The Crossover's have larger body than most A's. May take some trial and error.

I'd wait until the mandolin arrives and see if it fits in the Travelite. That's the sensible thing to do.

The 2006 Breedlove OF that I had would not fit in a Travelite. I had to buy a new case.

Several years ago I bought a Breedlove mandolin case from Dennis at the Mandolin Store primarily because it was cheap. It fit the two A style mandolins I put in it but it was tight. I still have it, pretty much unused waiting for that special mandolin that will eventually reside there. I always wondered what model it was made to fit. Were some of their models even smaller than normal as well? Here it is with my Strad-O-Lin in it.

How are you liking the Crossover? I love mine, and for three hundred bucks,it's pretty amazing. I have it in a no-name semi rigid case that my kids got me. It's plenty protective for my needs.

My Lebeda is a larger than 'standard' mandolin, & my Travelite fit it perfectly !. In fact every mandolin, including a few belonging to others who've tried it,has fit perfectly - not so my Gator or TKL rect.case. My Ellis "A" style is currently in occupation in the Travelite - it's a loose fit in my TKL & Gator,

    Lebeda F-5 "Special".

I would assume the Crossover line is the same body dimensions as the American made OF model. When I had my Breedlove the case would not close without a lot of pressure on the bridge. Without the Tone Gard it was tight. With the Tone Gard it was impossible. I sold it and bought a shaped Golden Gate case feom the Cafe classifieds for $45. It has worked great for the past 9 years.
