    Nice playing - and interesting to compare the tone color of an F model and a bowlback. Plus, one player uses the typical F mandolin strap and the other does not, in true bowlback fashion!

    I'd love to see that sheet music. They both read and took breaks for some improv. I think Carlo is arranging some really cool stuff; he has a few other videos out there doing this sort of bluegrass / classical mash up. And Brian is on par with this guy. Maybe he added to the score. They have a really fun piece there. Wow indeed.

    The piece is called Mantello e Cilindro, it was written by Brian Oberlin for Carlo Aonzo. There is an improvised solo section written into the score. It's recorded on Brian and Evan Marshall's new duet album "Twin Mandolin Slingers".
