that is currently for sale? I suppose it would call for a trip to Nashville to do a taste testing.

I'll keep what I got and get lessons. Then maybe buy an Ellis or Red Diamond roasted F.

We are talking about a $billion here people. What is the best Loar for sale currently?

All of them. Start a non-profit "lending library" and loan them to deserving talent around the country. I'll keep playing the couple Collings mando's I have. I wouldn't do justice to a Loar. Fun thought! Delusional...but fun! I usually only bought one quick pick when the jackpot went over 100 million dollars. The past few weeks a bought a few for each drawing. That won't break me.

On second thought, I'll just buy Nashville. Do I get all of the stores / instruments if I buy the city?

If I win there won't be any more Loars for sale! Then I'll keep the best one or two for myself and loan the others out to deserving players.

Come one now people. I don't need all of them. Maybe just the top 3. Isn't "Tiger" for sale. I believe that one is kind of famous.

If you win Powerball you'll have enough money to buy six thousand Loars at about $150,000 a pop. And I'll be glad to help make sure that you get all of them.

First of all, I'd hire Mike Compton as my full time mandolin instructor to work with me 5 days a week. That way I wouldn't just be just another rich guy with a Loar that can't play it worth a crap. And I'd probably have a Gil custom made, too.

    I would buy this Breedlove.

It's not a Loar but I have wanted one of these for a while.

I would not be buying a Loar. I will be building my studio while my instruments are being hand made in a custom shop.

I would buy a custom Weber A style oval hole, and a Pava (I already have a Loar I like.) And I would keep my bowlbacks, and work only part-time so I have more time to play my mandos.

I did! And I am beyond grateful My Weber Yellowstone is dream instrument that fortunately became a reality. But, if I did win the jackpot I would have to give into MAS and I've always liked the look and sound of Breedloves, especially the K shaped ones. I would buy a Loar as well

A Gilchrist F5 (just because I could afford the strap hanger) an Ellis, and an RM-1 for my beater, oh and maybe a real Giacomel blonde because it's one of the most beautiful interpretations of the F5 shape I have ever set eyes upon. No Loars, and definitely no bloomin' Blue Chips

This is really the only answer. Or Crusher.
