    Default Mark Mawby mandolins

Hi, Can anyone provide feedback on Mark Mawby mandolins? They look great, handmade here in UK and I think sound amazing from some of the clips I've heard.

    Many thanks in advance!

Just had a look. I remember that the music room in Clackheaton used to have some of his instruments, and I think they have a carved top of his in stock. Love the sound of that Mandola. Good prices, and a great looking design, what's not to like? Love the look of his fiddles as well- I am pretty sure that Jackie Oates uses one of his,

Thanks for the info. I hadn't heard of Mark's instruments. From the mandolins for sale on his website, it looks like he does fine work.

    Scotty,
I have one of his flat top mandolins and its superb, wide fretboard which I like, very loud and open sounding. Perfect for celtic/old time..
My friend was so impressed that he commissioned one of his A5 mandolins which is a different beast entirely. Again a very powerful mandolin but an entirely different voice.
