    Default Stella Adorata tarantella

I found this tarantella in this thread. I really like it, but I can't find anything about it elsewhere: no references to it or recordings.

Does anyone know anything about it? I'm intrigued that this nice tune is apparently so obscure.

That is one of Sheri Mignano's PDFs ("mandophile" on the Cafe) and she posted that tune in the thread you have linked. She has a lot of knowledge about the origin of these tunes, so I suggest you drop her a PM and ask her the question directly.

Many of the tunes collected by Sheri in her book are from the San Francisco Italian scene of the early-to-mid 20th century, and have never been recorded nor widely performed outside that scene.
