Default Have Gibson A1 FON, what year?

I am helping a friend who inherited a Gibson A1. I believe the serial number dates to 1918. The FON is 11149. Does that FON corespond to 1918 (plus/minus a little), or do I have the year wrong?

    Thanks very much,

    Bob

11147 is listed as a 1918 A model in Joe Spann's book. The list isn't complete. 11163 is the next FON listed and it is a 1918 model year as well. The next time 11149 (11149A) was used that I can see was in 1924 for an H-1. I would think that if the serial number puts you in that time frame that the FON should as well.

Thanks very much, Mike. That's exactly what I was looking for. This is very helpful.
