Default J.L. Smith (4-string) New rear control model.

Here is something different, from my normal builds:[/U][/U] just thought I'd post a couple photo's. flamed maple drop top over Poplar body, maple neck, radiused fingerboard, deluxe Schaller mini-tuners, fully copper shielded rear control cavities, Kent Armstrong mini humbucker pickup, gold plated hardware, string through body bridge, gloss nitro burst finish.

Looks great as usual. The burst looks fantastic. I've always liked the look of mounting the pickup in the body and not using a pickup ring. With the drop tops, I hollow out the body and fish the pickup in through the control cavity. I'm curious as to how deep your neck pocket is in to the body? Mine is 2".

That is a thing of beauty, really elegant. Reminds me of the electric Ronnie McCoury plays.
