    Default ABRSM Violin Exam Pieces

If you are looking for a nice collection of pieces to complement a classical mandolin method book, you might look at the ABRSM Violin Exam Pieces series,
I got aware of these books through Hany's nice rendition of "My Lady Hudson'a Puffe" by J.Dowland and ordered the grade 3 book myself.https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=ndnwig09CoU
It contains classical pieces from all eras as well as folk and jazz tunes. The pieces were not originally written for violin, they are lute pieces, piano pieces, opera arias and songs arranged for violin in the first and third position.
Played on the mandolin, you can use the violin fingerings.

O Babbino mio caro by Puccini

I have the violin only edition that has no accompaniments but for the early swing tune "Sweet Lorraine" I looked up the chords. Nice arrangment with some jazzy licks thrown in to embellish the melody. https://soundcloud.com/tele1310/sweeet-lorraine
