That's a Chinese Breedlove Crossover. The American made ones do not have a binding like that. You can buy it new for $500 from a local store.
Here's a new one for $400 on ebay:

    Here's an American made one:

Also, no truss rod cover because the Chinese ones have no adjustable truss rod.

Most American Breedloves have no binding but mine does!

No problem. Hope nobody buys that used one for more than it should sell retail.

The Crossover says Made in China on the label and is the least expensive BL. Can be found new for as low as $259 (oval hole.) The Crossover is only available in A style. Apparently they have come out with an upgraded version recently selling now for $500 but I have no idea what changes were made (it seems they've replaced the more solid tailpiece with a standard off-the-shelf style, not an improvement imo.) All other BLs are currently made in U.S. and are substantially more expensive. The two higher lines are the Legacy and the Premier, which run $2-3K but prices between the lines may overlap if you compare A vs. F style models, used, etc.

Edit: Price correction based on looking at their current website. Premier is aboout $1700-2300, Legacy runs around $2600-3200 list.

Nice! You must have one of the Master Class or KB Signature models. Very fine, and expensive, mandolins.

That Crossover has the same strange f holes as the Rover RM-50.

Nope! Mine is a custom model made especially for The Mandolin Store several years back. Identical to a standard American Series in blond natural except upgraded with black binding and aging toner on the top.

Breedloves have always had funky-looking f-holes. Even the $5,999 McKenzie had those.

I don't know anything about their more recent models, but the ones at the top of the earlier line-up were stunning mandolins. A McKenzie remains one of the most memorable mandolins I've played.

I've seen one of those in person. Very nice! I like the look of the light wood with the black binding.
