Sam himself teaches that tune here, and PDFs with tab and notation are provided as far as I am aware (I don't own this yet)

rdb8847, here's the TEF file you requested...

the notes ARE all correct, but I think they may be off in terms of time value (what I wrote as a quarter note might actually be a half note, etc)

When I write something out, I usually just make sure the notes are right...I use it as an aid to remember how to play along with the song...

If you or anyone else would like to take what I've started and finish it for accuracy, go for it!

Hey Jstring, good job with the notes, here's what the notation should look like. Tried to convert my guitar pro files to tef so that you could just import it in, couldn't figure it out / not sure if that's possible. Anyway, hope this helps.

Thanks a bunch. I have the full blown Tabledit but have never figured out how use it other then converting mandolin tunes to guitar tab and transposing to different keys.

If anyone has a rhythm guitar player they jam with, the chords are Em, G, E, Am and Capo the 3rd fret! Thank you all for adding the mandolin tab, I forwarded to my uncle who plays.

I have Sam's DVD that teaches this and I learned a lot from watching his hand position, movements and trying to mimic the motions, which is essential in copying this style--- especially the right hand. You've got to get comfortable with broader/more motion there, getting your hand to float when you do it and getting just the right amount of pick contact.

I also learned a lot about this style by working on "Evening Prayer Blues"- find Mike Compton playing it online. I find it easier to match how Compton does that big tremelo than Sam Bush
