Thanks for your e-mail Willie. We can only hope that he recovers ok,but at his age,a broken pelvis is a serious injury. Usually it's the shock of the injury that does the real damage. The break can be repaired, but the shock to the nervous system can have a long lasting effect. Let's all hope that ''The Mountain Doctor's'' made of stern stuff,

His Facebook page says he is in a rehab facility and recovering well. Saw him in town here a few months ago, he looked frail and weak them. Glad to hear he is recovering.

From Knox Al - "..he looked frail and weak..". Dr Stanley's looked like that for a long time now. I'm really hoping that this long rest up might give him back a bit more strength all round. He's one of my 'all time'' banjo heroes,

Does anyone know how one might get a card to Dr. Stanley? I'd like to let him know he is my thoughts and prayers. PM if that is more appropriate.
