    It looks like it was dipped in shellac. Sad.

    I like the homemade tailpiece cover. If that's just shellac that's not a real big problem. I'm going to guess it wasn't shellac.

    Never mind the laquer or varnish finish, here's the wax crayon finish. (Before final buffing of course)!!!
    I never fail at anything, I just succeed at doing things that never work....
