Shipping to Hawaii

I've never shipped a mandolin to Hawaii from the 48 states, but I have someone from Hawaii interested in buying a mandolin that I have for sale and am looking for some feedback, good or bad, from anyone who has shipped to Hawaii, especially via USPS Priority Mail, which is what I would prefer to use.

I had a mandolin shipped to Hawaii USPS Priority mail with no problems. USPS priority is the preferred method for the islands. Usually arrives in about 3 days.

having lived in both Alaska and Hawaii. I can confirm usps priority is the safest and most affordable.never had any problems

I'm guessing that when UPS and FedEx trucks get to the Pacific Ocean, the drivers figure they can't hold their breath that long?
