I live in Johnstown, but come into Pittsburgh often. I play mostly clawhammer banjo these days and old time music. Don't know if that suits you but, if so, I would be interested in jamming.

Great, I'm actually in Greensburg, so I know Johnstown very well. I'm assuming banjo is your main? I play bass, guitar and Mando. I've been looking for some folks to play some earthy tunes. Let me know what you are into.

I'm up near Cranberry. Being fairly new to stringed instruments, I'm not really much of a picker, but I sure wouldn't mind hooking up with a local group.

    Thanks for reaching out.

Hi Jamking. Yes, I play mostly clawhammer banjo these days, standard old time repertoire. I played mandolin for a long time, and have a very nice Kimble two-point, but a hand problem (focal dystonia) has made it difficult for me to play with a flatpick. I don't have that problem with instruments not requiring a flatpick. In any event, yes let's get together and play. Greensburg is not far from Johnstown.

I saw your post and am from Pittsburgh. I just recently bought a mandola and having a blast with it, but I am sure I am not ready to jam...😕
