NFI here, but a few years ago I had a conversation with Roman Zajicek -- a very fine Czech builder who told me he had designed the new "Recording King" instruments, to be built by the pacrim factories. I've seen a few of these, and no surprise, the little details look like Roman's instruments. Roman is mainly a dobro player himself (he's well-known in the Czech bluegrass scene) so I expect he knows something about making cones.
