Our bass player just got back from the Augusta Bluegrass and sent this video of Sharon and other instructors in concert......
I guess this will be the next tune I learn.

Very nice mandolin version of it. This is one of my favorite tunes - I could play it all day long and never get tired of it. My wife says it's too repetitive, but I just love it. I noticed they put some variations in there, rather than playing it in straight OT style.
Probably my favorite version is by The Wilders, just as a straight fiddle tune. I'm trying to work it up on my fiddle to get that same sound. This version:
There's also a great Mike Compton version playing in Australia. Just like the Sharon Gilchrist video, I really like the sound of the mandolin and fiddle playing together on the melody. It adds punch to it. Man, I love this tune!
Sharon's playing is so fluid and relaxed. Love it.
I have always enjoyed John Hartford's fiddling on this song; this video is with Mike Compton also.
With bass solo and some clogging!
I should be pickin' rather than postin'
Great video, that looks like Mark Schatz on the bass.

Squirrel Hunters is a cool tune. The Wilder's version is a little too swingy for me. I sure like this version by Billy Bright:

Sure like the Compton down-under version.
Sharon Gilchrist is definitely the epitome of smooth playing.
That's Casey Henry on banjo. Her dad, Red, taught me this tune.

Adam Steffey's arrangement for the Mandolin Symposium Bluegrass Ensemble - Mike Mullins filled in for Adam...
