Default Telluride Town Park Camping Question

It's my first year out there and I was told camping spots can be competitive. Is leaving Thursday morning opposed to Wednesday a bad idea?

I just bought a house and could really use the extra day Wednesday to get some projects done instead of driving to telluride to ensure. Decent camp spot

the early bird gets the worm.....

do you really want to arrive late and have to navigate hundreds of folks, cars, and tents, and try to find a needle in a haystack?

It's crazy there... People turn into animals looking for camping spots. Festival Nazis is what we call them here.

I would think it would be much easier just to buy a small cabin on a small piece of land in or near Telluride. You could go there anytime you wanted, and when you didn't need it you could rent it. You could probably find a small place (with an indoor toilet and running water) for between $500k and $750k. Thanks for reminding me. I think I'll have my Real Estate agent start looking.

I live at the beach. I hope everyone understands this my feeble attempt at humor.

Telluride is a shot show for camping during the festival.

    Period.

    Good luck.

You could probably rent a bathroom in Mountain Village for $500 a night. Worth a shot.
