Default Carlo Munier: Duettino I, Op. 69 (w/ score)

    Carlo Munier (1859-1911): Duettino I, Op. 69

    1. Allegro - 0:00
    2. Romanza (andante malinconico) - 1:08
    3. Rondo (allegretto brillante) - 2:49

This is a nice and relatively simple duet for two mandolins in three movements, written by Carlo Munier probably around 1900. The piece is dedicated to Ernesto Becucci, a composer of popular piano pieces and a contemporary of Munier's in Florence. It's the first in a collection of six duettinos, which may have been compiled some time later, as the Opus numbers are not consecutive.

I attach the score, from the Nakano archive.

Played on two vintage Italian bowlback mandolins:

    Mandolin 1: 1890s Umberto Ceccherini
    Mandolin 2: 1915 Luigi Embergher
