Default Henrique Cazes cavaquinho. This is absolutely beautiful!

    ...and very mandolin-like.
Cazes plays Waldir Azevedo's "Minhas Mãos meu Cavaquinho"

Henrique Cazes inspired me to play and build cavaquinhos.

He is an outstanding musician and I believe has a cavaco school.

The tuning is dgbd one octave higher than guitar. The alternate tuning is dgbe.

He is a great musician. I believe Clara Nunes' cavaquinho player
[can't think of his name] tuned his instrument GDAE.
The player on this tribute to her [at around 3 minutes in]

sounds like GDAE. Maybe not. Playing the the chord inversion
sounds of cavaquinho on GDAE is terribly hard.
    Big stretches...

Henrique Cazes narrates and participates in a video survey and travelogue about the cavaquinho. Four 1 hr. episodes. Brush up on your Portuguese, or at least skip between music segments.

    Lots of bandolim therein..

The luthier stuff is great too. Dig the wood-fired hot pipe at the 29 minute mark!
