Default Chris Larkin - Irish builder

I came across a guitar made by Chris Larkin at the weekend. I thought it sounded really nice.
I'm afraid I'd never heard of him but he's obviously been building for quite a while.

I see he makes mandolins. Has anyone any experience of his instruments?

I am sorry to hear that Chris Larkin has passed away. I have enjoyed reading his newsletters for the last few years, and would have liked to have played more of his instruments.
He seemed a very nice man.

I read the news of his passing yesterday, very sad.

I've been thinking how wonderful that things that are finely crafted give much pleasure after the maker is gone, be it furniture, songs, movies, or instruments.
