Default A new composition for mandolin

I just finished composing this piece a few days ago. It's called Fantasia del giorno. I'm really happy with it. I think It has a lot of influences swirling around in it from things I've been listening to, from Vivaldi and Bach, to Hummel and Calace -though that may be more evident to me. I'll be recording it as part of a CD, along with my other pieces soon, but I wanted to give it a chance here first. It's played on my 1900 Ferdinando De Cristofaro mandolin, which I adore. I will probably incorporate some variations on the main theme in the second repeat, which I still do a little of, but I decided to leave it fairly unfettered in this one. This is my first audio clip I've posted on the cafe. I hope you enjoy.

That's very sweet and beautiful Paul. I suggest looking up the words: 'descending broken thirds' and 'arpeggios'.

I found this guy doing it with harmonics ?! Wow. Actually he is doing 'ascending broken thirds'.
