Couldn't resist. Here's my big mandolin with my big jug o' beer. Peak Organic Summer Session courtesy of Growler Garage in Burlington, VT with my Trinity Collage Octave Mandolin. I've been really digging the Growler experience recently.

The more you drink, the better I sound? Or is it the more I drink, the better...Oh well.

My favorites are Pothole Porter from St. Paul and Old Peculiar from London.

Here we have a growler from The Filling Station in Nashville, TN. The last load through it was Calfkiller Scorched Hooker, from a smallish (but locally popular) brewery in Sparta, TN. Shown alongside one of our RedLine A-5 mandolins. A nice blend, if you ask me!

By the way, I met Daniel over in Facebook Land. (A great guy!) I was so impressed with his stickers that I asked him who did them for him. Daniel got us together, and we are very nearly done with some artwork that we will use for stickers first, and then t-shirts, if it looks like the idea works out.

Stay tuned for more info, especially if you are a fan of the A-5 mandolin design!

How does a lover of Beer and a lover Mandolins acquire one of those stickers? I feel I need to promote the concept by putting one on my case. Cheers

I can’t believe I didn’t post in this thread back on the day! Finally getting around to it because I have been out on the porch playing and having a beer. This is actually not my main mando nor my usual beer. But in the spirit of ‘love the one you’re with’, here is my Seagull S8 and a Propeller Pilsner.

Sunriver Vicious Mosquito IPA and a 2013 torrified Red Diamond makes these crazy times more palatable

Just this evening on my back porch; my piccolo flat-top, one of Nigel Gatherer's Scottish music books, two of my cats listening, and a Mexican Modello. What could be better?

Looks upside down here, but click on it and it's right side up. And I only had one Modello. . .honest.

Here’s my Gibson Doyle Lawson. I don’t drink anymore, but my favorite was most any murky IPA. I think the last one I was hung up on was Eleysian Space Dust.

Here are the mandos waiting for me in the woodshed.
The beer is from Steens Mountain Brewery in Burns, Oregon, where my son-in-law is the brewmaster and my daughter does the graphics.

Given my business (small farm winery), I'd better be. But I enjoy beer as well. There's room for it all.

I love craft beer too - but most of my mandolin playing has been associated with wine, not beer or whiskey.

Good for you, I'd love to taste your wine.

You folks are killing me. I used to love a Guinness extra stout, but now I have to be gluten free. Gluten free beer sucks. I am now with David and drink wine and have come to like it too much me thinks.

Usually I'm a hop head to the point where it borders on psychosis, but this is one of my absolute favorites, Homestyle form Bearded Iris. Juicy and tropical and soft, but with a solidly bitter IPA backbone. Also rather hard to find around here most of the time. Mandos are my #11 and #13.
