Posted is a photo showing a Medeiros Travel Mandolin next to a Mix A for those who are interested.

I've purchased travel guitars and mandolins over the years, and have always wanted something smaller to practice on when traveling.

I narrowed my choices to the Travolin and Medeiros. I called Mike and over skype he sold me on his mandolin. Mine is cherry back/sides, rosewood fretboard and fir top. Mike's standard length is about 24", but he was kind enough to shorten the headstock so the length is 23" and it will fit in a carry-on bag or some backpacks. He has both two point and f style models. It came with J75's on it and sounds surprisingly full when playing chords. Playing single course melody is quieter. I may try JS74s for comparison. I highly recommend working with Mike.

By the way for a very helpful thread on travel mandolins and specs see http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/sh...light=Travolin
