Just contacted Tim Scatvold at Eastman, yesterday. They got some timepieces in about a month ago and mine is on the way. It was a long wait.

It is Dan, not Tim. I'm still brain-fogged as ever.
I was in the same boat last year -- waiting forever for a container to be shipped from China with a replacement for my broken MDC-805 tailpiece. When the boat docked, all the tailpieces that they sent were for guitars; the Eastman rep in CA finally rated one of the half-dozen mandocelli in the shipment as "B-stock," took the tailpiece off it, and sent it to my repair guy.
The defect on the original-design Eastman mandocello tailpieces caused lots of breakage at the hinge. Glad that Eastman is sending over replacements -- but kudos to Eastman for being willing to take one off an existing instrument and send it to me for installation on my 805.

So.... you're waiting on clocks or watches?
Seriously, that dock workers strike put everybody behind - import and export.
Supposedly, it was shipped today.
Tailpiece, folks, for a mandocello.

Oh yee of little faith. New 805 tailpiece arrived today ! Eastman' s advice to take it to Bernunzio' s was a good one, also. All is well in my little Mc world.
