Default Brazilian electric mandolin, bahian, guitarra on Ebay

Has anyone seen the Brazillian 5 string electric mandolin, Bahian, guitarra on Ebay? Looks like a pretty cool emando, imported by a Miami based company. Comes in different colors and has 2 pickups. Not a bad price, but who knows what the quality is. They do offer a 2 week return window. Not sure what the scale length is. Does anyone have any info on these cool little guys? Martin Stillion, are you out there?

Looks rather expensive......Elifas Santana`s Aruana model is around $189.00 looks like more of a serious instrument and since there`s no import tax under $200.00, looks like a much more attractive proposition...... http://elifas.com.br/aruana-guitarra-baiana/

Any thoughts on the higher end Star Serie from Santana? It's got a little bit of that freak out in a moonage daydream look.

That would be the one. Phenomenal performance - wonder if Ringo likes it. I assume the player is brilliant. I don't trust my ear/knowledge for instrument evaluation - any insight on how good an instrument that Star Serie is, and how playable if one's familiar with a 4 string Mandobird and a 5 string Mandoblaster?

I see the e mandos I started this thread about are now up for bid, as well as taking offers. I'm tempted, but need another electric mandolin like another hole in the head. Does anyone know anything about Brazilian workmanship? Are they generally quality made? Better or on par with far eastern imports?
