Default MC Tenor Guitar and Banjo Chord Generator-beta

This is really cool, a beta of a Chord Generator for Tenor Guitar and Banjo.

A very welcome addition to the Mandolin Cafe website.

It's similar to the mandolin and mandola chord.

Ted Eschliman discusses the new chord generator in his weekly tip on the Jazzmando.com website.

    He notes that

some of the "Bluegrass" fingerings are conspicuously absent, the infamous "G-chop," for example. The simple reason is the fretspan is unattainable for most human hands. Another good reason is doubling the 3rd of the chord in this register sounds horrible.

Interesting idea but I still prefer Chord Wizard Gold ... http://www.chordwizard.com/gold.aspx As far as no GDae - well this one is for Tenor and Mandola. So, maybe it is available, just not here. On CWG, you have a choice of what instrument and what tuning you want at three different levels. You get what you pay for. (NFI, I've used a lot of chord programs, this one flat out gives me more in one place than any other I've found, including various scales off of key centers, harmony concepts and lots of inversion choices.)
    Mandola fever is permanent.
