I like cases with D rings for Shoulder straps , so as to cut down trips back and forth with Gear, in your hands .

Maybe carrying amp in your arms at the same time,
instrument case strap on your shoulder.

    (Fender's FM 60 & 61se had a hard case available, with a shoulder strap on it's handle edge. )

The Tweed is my vote.. If its real Fabric, not a Picture of a fabric printed on Vinyl.

I like both (I'm primarily a bass guitar player and have one each of those for basses).

But if I were going to pick one to offer a variety of customers, I'd go with the black. The tweed kind of draws attention to itself, and says "1950s," while the black one is more neutral, while still being recognizable to musicians.

Black on black for me. Good old basic black. It's classic, classy, and suitable for all occasions, formal and informal. For the interior, I'm partial to blue - royal blue or lighter, like periwinkle - or royal purple.

I say this even though my electrics have always been carried in gig bags. Not by design, but by chance. They came with them, and stayed that way, as I have carried them around town by bike during the time I was using them in a band. I went through two black rectangular cases for my F-12 - one a POS, the second a good solid one - and I liked the shape for being not instantly recognizable as an instrument case, or if it was, for not being obvious as to what it contained.

I'm not really crazy about the strip of leather at each end, preferring an uninterrupted surface, but it still looks pretty swanky.

I like the look of the tweed, too. I've tried to find these hard cases on the web, but without success - including on the Gator Cases site. Can anyone point me to sites where they are for sale?

Any reason that they have to be rectangular? I prefer a smaller case maybe one that is triangular. In any case 😀 I like tweed.

Thanks for all the input so far..I order these from a couple different companies. 6-12 at a time and in 3 different sizes..
I've thought about a smaller maybe triangle style case but I make a few different body shapes and it's easier ( and cheaper) to get one case that fits them all ..and don't think the triangle would work for all body shapes..so I will probably stick with the rectangle.
I like them all..tweed, black and gator...probably in that order of preference... But when it comes time to order I tend to over think it and can't decide.
