Default new godin a8 vs. older molder a8

I have someone who wants to buy my a8 its about 8 years old. no problems. it has the fixed bridge, I understand the new ones have the adjustable.
other than that is the quality the same today, and the electronics any different , better or worse? thanks. I would hate to trade down.

I have had both. The fixed bridge one had some top sinkage which made a lot of issues and my luthier had to refret it to make it play right. I gave it to my son and bought the adjustable bridge model. I discern no change in the electronics and tonality. So the advice is to carefully evaluate the fixed bridge model for action, if it is stable after 8 years, it probably will be fine. There is a range of adjustments with the neck shims but not as flexible as the adjustable bridge. Hope that helps.
