    In my experience, the earlier L & H's had a 13 3/4" scale, and the later ones had a 13" scale.

    The earliest ones I have seen also had a more substantial profile to the barrel of the neck, somewhat similar to 'teens Gibsons. They also had neck heels that had a flat cap, rather than the knob shaped heels that we usually see.

    The earliest style A's had symmetrical body points.
