"Radio" (Waltz), O. Di Bella, 1936
Onofrio Di Bella: "Radio" - valzer (1936)
This is an American/Italian waltz, written and published in 1936 by Onofrio Di Bella, and arranged for two mandolins and guitar by Luigi Canoro (the author of "Tra Veglio E Sonno"). Di Bella didn't believe in fancy names for his tunes -- he wrote a mazurka called simply "Mandolin" (see here), and this waltz was equally plainly called "Radio".
I have recorded the original 1936 arrangement, as uploaded in Sheri's Dropbox thread, with an added mandocello bass line.
1915 Luigi Embergher mandolin
1890s Umberto Ceccherini mandolin
Ozark tenor guitar
Suzuki MC-815 mandocello

Radio never sounded better! an homage to his fellow Italian...Marconi, I'm sure! It's great to hear this one. Made my day!
