    i learned this tune off the monroe video, and now when i go and ask people to pick it with me... no one has heard of it...
    is this just on this video or what?
    the song is awesome, and the funny thing is its the first one in the "best known insturmentals" section...... how bout that.

    I've worked that one up also.
    It is also on Jimmy Campbell's CD 'Young Opry Fiddler' (Pinecastle PRC 1025), as well as the Copper Creek two-disk set 'Bill Monroe & the Blue Grass Boys 'Live'' (Rural Rhythm RHY-1015).

    Good tune! #As 'Raw Hide' is to the key of C, 'Tombstone Junction' is to the key of G. #It ain't carved in stone, but it's the way I've found it to be at jams.

    Yes, the recording is called First Crossing and it has a great version of Tombstone Junction on it. I have been trying to get this tune into the jam session circuit for years!
