    Default Newbie saying hello.

    Hello all.

I got my first mandolin this past Saturday and have been having a blast playing it!
It's a Fender Robert Schmidt Acoustic/Electric mandolin and even my clumsy fingers has been able to make some noise out of it.

I have played guitar for over thirty years and have been playing electric bass for the past 7 or 8 years. I've always wanted to play mandolin and finally took the plunge. It sure is a different animal than my 5 string basses.

I'm having a great time, and this has been a great forum to learn from and I can see myself being on here reading and learning a lot.

I await my first MAS attack, so I have more company for my 5 basses and guitar.

Anyways, happy to be here and thought I'd say hello.

Welcome. A great community here...we all have our strong opinions and most are permanently infected with MAS.

Welcome to this wild, wacky world. You will have more fun, frustration and challenges than you signed up for. Just beware of the dreaded MAS......it will attack you eventually.
