Very in-depth and informative article. Thanks for sharing the link. I've always felt that my Weber Custom Vintage A mandolin lends itself very well to Celtic, which is my favorite genre. Playing chop chords on it frustrates me because I just don't think it's capable of the woody percussive sound of most F-style mandolins. She sure plays a sweet melody, though, and I've gotten many complements on its voice and appearance. I'm picking up a Weber F-Style Yellowstone HT tomorrow. It's voice is very different than my A-Style and produces a woody, percussive chop. It will be a nice complement to my A-Style.
