Default Steffey and Stewart clucking like hens

Adam Steffey was pulling some fantastic tone from the Ellis F he played at last weekend's Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival. With the usual apologies for a big event recording, a sample of Adam playing 'Cluck Old Hen' with Ron Stewart on fiddle (an impressive alternative to Adam's wife clawhammer on 'New Primitive') is attached. Adam also gave a very helpful mandolin workshop and showed himself to be an approachable, enjoyable and helpful gentleman once again.

Regarding the 'fantastic tone' - to me, it's sounds like almost every other mandolin that Adam plays. He could get the same tone from a bucket if he were ever to try.The guy's a 'tone monster'. With regard to him being a nice, helpful person, that seems pretty normal for Adam from what the folks who've met him have said on here. He's on top of my ''mandolin players i'd most like to meet'' list along with John Reischman & Herschel Sizemore, & that's with no disrespect to all the other fantastic musicians we have,

    Weber F-5 'Fern'.
    Lebeda F-5 "Special".
    Stelling Bellflower BANJO
    Tokai - 'Tele-alike'.
    Ellis DeLuxe "A" style.
