Those lord of the rings movie are just incredible. Beatiful scenery and seems very very close to Tolien's image.

Anyway the music in these movies is just incredible. Does anyone have tab or know where tab or notation is for any of these Lord of the Rings pieces. Would anyone want to give these songs a try? Those types of songs would very well on a mando. Well what do you think? Can you all help?

Great idea but I have no clue where to find them. Have you tried sheet music plus? John

    Hello!

We play the second track ("Concerning Hobbits") from the Soundtrack to the first part of the Trilogy - "The Fellowship of the Ring". It`s very nice and easy, but we play it by ear, notation not available.

    Good luck!

If you are familiar with the progressive Rock group 'RUSH', they have a whole CD that has nothing but Tolkien (titled) stuff on it I think, however, I have no idea how it would switch to mandolin. I think there is a song called "Rivendel" on it that is kind of peaceful and may be the one you could try.

I guess i could just get the sheet music for other instruments and play the piece on the mandolin. It would be great if they had a piece just for the mandolin. I can pick some of that stuff by ear but some of those pieces are kind of complicated. Well i will keep looking.

I love LOTR, been a fan since I was about 9 years old and read all the books I have all three soundtracks and have learned about a half dozen of the tunes by ear. They're fun to play just sitting around with friends, especially when they happen to recognize them.

When my baby is born (in August) he or she (we'll find out which in 2 weeks at the ultrasound) will come out humming the LOTR songs
    Cheers,
    Sarah
