Great Kevin, lovely sound from your trio. I wouldn't have thought apologies were necessary at all!

    Great stuff. Loved it.

Is that a Stefan Sobel mandolin? It sounds great.

Thanks, yes it is a 1983 small bodied, 8 string Stefan Sobell mandolin, European spruce soundboard and Indian rosewood back and sides. I recently had a K&K pickup fitted, but these sets were played simply through an SM57 I think. It is a great instrument, 31 years old now, hard to believe, and it has slowly improved with age and playing.

    Stefan definitely does something right.

I love the unison with the fiddle. It snaps.

This is what Scottish folk music is all about for me - the arrangements, the voices, everything. Wonderful stuff, absolutely classic.

Cheers, Mike! I must admit that we didn't actually arrange any of this, just sort of played the stuff! But glad you liked it.

Great sets, Kevin. Very good balance from the three of you. The Burns Classic is missing from my screen! The link may not be working.

Just catching up on these Kevin. Fantastic sounding sets every one! I'm particularly enjoying that rocking set of American reels!
