    that is one of two almost identical pickguards I made from bloodwood, the truss rod cover is alsom my design and its out of bloodwood as well as the saddle and endpin. I went to a hardwoods barn bout 3 manths ago and fell in love with that blood wood,so I make mandolin parts every week out of it.
