Default Appraisal of STE and All Wave mandolins

Hello, I am helping a friend who has asked me the rough value of the two mandolins in the pics below. Those would be:

    1) Sound To Earth (now Weber) Bighorn. Serial 41254306

    2) Old Wave style A prototype. Serial 1281

They both appear in very nice if not pristine conditions.
    One has a Toneguard installed.

    Thanks for the help!
    Matt.

I'd say about $2,500 for the Weber and $1,800-2,000 for the Old Wave. If he's looking to sell them and include the Calton cases, you can probably bump those prices up a few hundred. To get the most money he should sell the Caltons separately if he has the original cases for the mandolins.

I just noticed you're in Italy. The prices I quoted would be in American dollars and based on the American market. I'm not so sure about the European market. The Acoustic Music Company in the UK might be a good resource for you. The owner is a regular contributor here.
