Yeah, it sure stokes my MAS. I bought a '22 Gibby from Tim and have been very happy with it. Somebody please buy it soon!
I fell in love with one of those at Mandolin Brothers last year. It didn't have a Virzi tho.
This is a wonderful example of a 1924 Gibson A-4 Snakehead Mandolin w/ Virzi Tone Producer. No cracks or repairs as far as I can tell. New frets and set-up by a top mandolin builder. Plays easily all the way up the neck and sounds great. It has a wonderful woody tone. Original varnish has gorgeous checking all over. Some normal play wear, finish wear, dings here and there but as you can see, this is very clean for a 90 year old instrument.
